Declan is an industry leading voice within the prepaid financial services sector and the postal financial services sector. He has been involved in the start up of companies focusing on Direct financial services, prepaid mobile top up networks, bill payment, international remittance, prepaid banking and prepaid gifting and has consulted in these areas widely.
He is a non executive board member of the Prepaid International Forum, the industry body that represents the regulated prepaid industry and also sits on the board of IMA Europe which represents the incentive and motivation industry as the prepaid card expert.
As Group Compliance Manager, Peter has responsibility for all financial services compliance related matters including anti-money laundering and data protection, as well as monitoring developments in the EU, Ireland and the UK and how they impact GVS.
With over 20 years of experience in Compliance, Peter joined GVS in 2012 as their first dedicated compliance resource. Prior to joining GVS he worked for a number of banks and financial institutions in both the UK and Ireland bringing a wealth of financial services knowledge of compliance to the Group. He has been a member of the Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland as well as Head of Compliance for Danske Bank Ireland. He is currently the Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Data Protection Officer for the Group.
Joanne graduated with a first class honours degree in Accounting and Finance from Dublin Institute of Technology. She completed her ACCA qualification at Dublin Business School, gaining a worldwide award in corporate governance and ethics during her time there.
Whilst completing her qualifications Joanne gained experience in various industries, working for various sized companies. Joanne was most recently acting financial accountant at Comex McKinnon Ltd., which is a commodity trading company in the Agricultural industry. She has also participated in various roles including accounts payable and accounts assistant roles with experience in retail, tourism and financial services industries.
From a young age Joanne has been involved in family businesses were she has gained strong interpersonal and communication skills. She has seen first-hand the conditions companies are faced with and strives in problem solving situations, while also taking on challenges that are out of her comfort zone.
